Just had Papas for the first time tonight and was really impressed. I’m super particular with my pizza as some of my followers know, but this is the best pizza I’ve had in the burbs. The sauce has a subtle sweetness to it and is balanced perfectly with the crust and cheese. The ingredients we had (mushroom, bacon & sausage) are all high quality as well We did dine in and fwiw, I’m pretty sure the decor is original from when they opened in 78, but that’s okay cuz they take excellent care of the place.

Came here for some pizza after the Tinley Park reptile show. Our first time in Illinois , so we HAD to support a local business. Best pizza and garlic bread we’ve ever had. Everything was so fresh and the service was immaculate.

After going to three other pizza places on a Friday night that were solidly packed we ended up looking up "pizza places near us" and fell upon Papa's place. They had a waiting time too but she said about 10 minutes. The hostess was so friendly and organized. Everyone coming in seemed to be regulars which was a good sign. We ordered breaded cauliflower which was VERY GOOD. Our waitress was unbelievably attentive considering the crowd in there. Never skipped a beat!!! Constant refills. The PIZZA WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS we were shocked at how great it was. Crunchy crust, perfect edges. I like to see some crust. Freshest, tastiest mushrooms!!! We fell upon this place on a whim and we were NOT disappointed!!! The food was excellent, the service was even better. What more could you ask for.

We've been here a few times since moving into the area several years ago. The pizza has always been very good - in fact our boys have had the chance to make their own pizza's as part of a cub scout event (that was back when my oldest was in scouts). We've had carryout several times and when we had a birthday party at the arc, I ran across the street to grab some pizza's - actually I did drive just because I was alone and getting the Pizza's as well as some plates and plasticware. This is my wife's favorite pizza joint, so we recently went here to celebrate. It was Sunday and around 5PM. The place was packed with a 30 minute wait. We stuck it out and got seated, moved, then seated back at the original table - some mix up with the seating but no big deal as it was before we ordered anything. The 16oz beer was good and the soft drinks they bought out pitchers after the first round probably to save time from running back for refills. There were six of us and two had root beer (the boys) and the wives drank cola while myself and the other hubby had beer. We had a large (14") pepperoni for the boys, family size (16") sausage for the adults and my wife wanted to try the double decker with sausage, olives and mushrooms. We also had mozzarella sticks and garlic bread with cheese while we waited on the pizza. I felt the appetizers are bit pricy for what you are getting. Overall the appetizers were 17.25, for a one topping 14" and one topping 16" it was 46.25, for the three topping 14" double decker it was 30.50. Pitcher of soda 10.75, 6.25 for my 16oz beer and 5.00 for my friends beer. A sub total of 116.00 for four adults and two children. That's pre-tax and pre-tip. Overall I'd say we spent roughly 21 per person after tax and depending on the tip you leave that amount will be higher. The wait was worth it as this is some of the best pizza in the area in my opinion although tonight it seems they go the pepperoni perfect but the sausage and double decker probably could have spent just a few more minutes in the oven - still good, just not that 'perfect' sweet spot good.

My first time trying Papa’s. I got 1/2 Sausage and 1/2 pepperoni thin crust. The pizza was hot and delicious. The sauce is on the sweeter side, and the crust is a thin, cracker crust. The Italian sausage had the exact right amount of fennel. This a great place, would stop here again any time.

I've been coming here all of my life ever since I was a little boy. My parents used to take the family here once a month! And if we didn't go there to eat,we always ordered it and picked it up and ate it at home! Best pizza ever around! Hands down!! I love the old atmosphere. It brings back memories from back in the day. The food and the service is truly impeccable. I cannot say enough good things about Papa's Pizza Place!! On this day my wife and I came in and had lunch. After a few cold drinks and some appetizers, we split an Italian beef sandwich dipped, with fries, and coleslaw, sweet and hot peppers on the side. We love their beef sandwiches and their french fries! Always so very tasty and made with perfection!!! I would recommend Papa's pizza place to every person I know. Truly a restaurant that cares. We've been coming here for years. Papas pizza is our family favorite. If you've never tried the thick crust, definitely try it. We didn't think anything else could beat the thin crust,but we were wrong. We love Papas!

Great place. Very old school feel. The service is excellent. Pizza is really good. Very thin crust with amazing sauce. I will need to order the pizza well done next time, I like my pizza crisper. My only complaint would be the sausage, it's not bad by any means but it was a bit of a letdown. Very excited to go back. Oh and great cheese fries as well.
